Our team is dedicated to treating both you and your family with the same personalized care, compassion, and excellence with which we would treat our own families. We want to create a relationship with you. We achieve this by listening to your needs and together coming up with a plan to achieve long term health goals. This personalized plan will take into account the whole patient, not just the teeth and oral cavity.
Meet Dr. Maner
Dr. Maner grew up in Williamston, NC. He attended UNC Chapel Hill for his undergraduate and DDS degrees, and graduated with honors in 2001. After finishing dental school, he completed a general practice residency in Burlington, VT. He returned to eastern North Carolina in 2002, and worked in a rural health clinic before opening his practice in 2003. His general dental practice is focused on providing family dentistry through his services and a network of select specialists.
Dr. Maner’s practice philosophy has been centered around comprehensive care for his patients with a focus on prevention and stability of the chewing system. In more recent years, he has expanded his scope of practice to address airway and breathing, and how they affect his patient’s oral and systemic health.
Dr. Maner is married with three children. His passions include faith, family, dentistry, and his hobbies of surfing, skiing, and fishing.
Meet Dr. Shiflet
Associate Dentist
Dr. H. Hatcher Shiflet V was born and raised on the Outer Banks in Manteo, NC. While pursuing his passion for both academics and athletics, he dedicated two years to playing football at Randolph-Macon College before obtaining his B.S. degree in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He then completed dental school at East Carolina University, earning a DMD degree and receiving the Academy of General Dentistry Senior Student Award.
Fueled by a deep-rooted connection to his hometown community and inspired by the legacy of his grandfather, a former dentist in Virginia Beach, VA, Dr. Shiflet embarked on a mission to give back through a fulfilling career in dentistry.
Dr. Shiflet distinguishes himself through a commitment to comprehensive patient care,
underscored by personalized treatment planning and patient-centered service. His passion for a holistic approach to dentistry and a commitment to lifelong learning ensures that each individual receives the highest quality of dental care.
Beyond the professional realm, Dr. Shiflet is married with one son. He enjoys beach activities, fishing, quality time with family and friends, and makes frequent trips to Chapel Hill to cheer on the Tar Heels.
